|Colm Delves, Group Chief Executive Officer and Board Director
Colm joined Digicel in May 2004 in the role of Group Chief Financial Officer before taking up his current role as Group Chief Executive Officer in June 2005.
When he joined the company, Digicel was active in eight markets in the Caribbean having launched its first operation in Jamaica in 2001. Since then, Colm has overseen a fourfold increase in the number of markets Digicel serves and has been instrumental in taking the Digicel brand of best value, best service and best network mobile communications across the Caribbean and Central America. With the addition of six markets in the Pacific to the portfolio, Digicel Group now spans 32 markets worldwide and is proud to serve over 13 million customers worldwide.
Prior to his role in Digicel, Colm provided consultancy services to a number of companies, including O’Brien Cellular Ltd., owned by Denis O’Brien. From September 1993 to October 2003, Colm held the position of Chief Financial Officer of Hibernia Foods plc, a Nasdaq-quoted company in the food manufacturing industry.
Colm qualified as a chartered accountant with KPMG Dublin and is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland. He holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance from Dublin City University and is based with his family in Dublin, Ireland.
|Lawrence Hickey, Group Chief Financial Officer
Lawrence Hickey joined Digicel in December 2002 as Financial Controller for the Jamaica operation and was appointed to the role of Finance Director in August 2003. Lawrence was formally appointed to the role of Group Chief Financial Officer effective March 1, 2006. Lawrence is also a founding member of the Digicel Foundation.
Prior to joining Digicel, Lawrence was the Finance Manager with Esat BT, one of Irelands leading telecommunications service providers, where he was responsible for all financial management and financial reporting requirements of the Group. Lawrence also played an instrumental role in the consolidation of the company’s business and consumer divisions following the sale of the company to British Telecom.
Lawrence has gained significant experience in auditing, financial control and management, investor relations, debt management and M&A experience throughout his career with a number of successful corporates. He graduated from University of Limerick, Ireland in 1994 with a Bachelors Degree in Business Studies. Lawrence qualified as a Chartered Accountant with KPMG where he worked on a wide range of audits and secondments. Post qualification, Lawrence joined Grafton Group Plc, an Irish-based publicly quoted company where he held the position of Group Management Accountant.
Lawrence is based in Dublin, Ireland.
|Brian Finn, Group Chief Strategy Officer
As Group Chief Strategy Officer, Brian works with the Group CEO and senior management team on strategy formulation with the ensuing operational implementation Group-wide.
Since joining Digicel in 2005, Brian has worked in several roles including Commercial Director for Digicel Trinidad & Tobago, Chief Executive Officer of Digicel Central America and over six years as Group Chief Commercial Officer for Digicel Caribbean, Central America and Asia-Pacific.
Prior to Digicel, Brian held go-to-market leadership roles in Hewlett Packard, eircom PLC and Sigma Telecom Ltd.
Brian holds a Degree in Business and is a member of the Marketing Institute of Ireland.
Brian is based in Dublin, Ireland.
|Pat Casey, Group Human Resources Director
Pat joined Digicel in September 2006 as Group HR Director where he is responsible for driving all elements of the people agenda across over 30 countries.
From recruitment and talent management to change and culture programs, Pat’s goal is to have each and every employee understanding and living the Digicel Way. This means focusing on continuing to provide best service and constantly striving to do things in a dynamic and different way that continues to contribute to the success of Digicel and its employees.
With over 25 years of professional human resource management experience – and at least 15 of these spent in international and foreign assignments, Pat started his career as a graduate trainee with Ford Motor Company. He has subsequently held various human resources positions with Apple, Intel Corporation and just prior to Digicel as Vice President Human Resources Dell Europe.Pat is a graduate of Human Resources and Business from Limerick University, Ireland.
|Andy Thorburn, Chief Executive Officer, Caribbean and Central America
Andy joined Digicel in November 2011 as CEO of Digicel Jamaica. In May 2013, he was then promoted to CEO for Caribbean and Central America, a role in which he has responsibility for Digicel’s operations in 25 markets.
A communications industry veteran with over 30 years of telecoms and business solutions sector experience, Andy brings extensive senior management expertise across a number of successful global businesses.
Highlights of this include the transformational turnaround of Intec Plc, a billing solutions provider to 450 mobile and fixed telecoms operators in 117 countries and an 18-year stint with BT Group where he was MD of the satellite division as well as leading two major markets into high growth.
In addition to his telecoms background, Andy brings extensive ICT experience through senior roles at Siemens Business Services as well as venture capital-backed businesses in Europe and the US.
Andy is married with one son and is based in Kingston, Jamaica.
|Tom Reynolds, General Counsel - Group Corporate Affairs
Tom Reynolds, as General Counsel, has a particular focus on advising on Mergers and Acquisitions and Corporate Financing. Tom joined Digicel in February 2006. Since then, he has worked in many aspects of the Group’s Legal and Regulatory function. This has included responsibility for Group wide litigation and contentious matters, as well as managing the overall Legal and Regulatory function of Digicel’s Eastern Caribbean operations. Tom has also provided Legal and Regulatory support to many other of the Group’s individual business units, including Trinidad and Tobago, Guyana, Bermuda, Jamaica and the Cayman Islands.
Prior to joining Digicel, Tom qualified and practiced for a number of years as an Attorney with one of Ireland’s leading law firms. Tom holds a Degree in Corporate Law and a Degree in Civil Law from the National University of Ireland, Galway. Tom is a Member of the Law Society of Ireland having qualified in 2003. He also holds a Diploma in Legal French and a Certificate in French Legal Studies as awarded by Chambre de Commerce et D’Industrie de Paris in 2001.
Tom is based in Dublin, Ireland with his family.
|Regis Romero, Chief Executive Officer, Digicel Caribbean and Central America
As Regional CEO for the Caribbean and Central America, Regis has overall responsibility for the strategic development and operational performance of Digicel’s 26 markets in the Caribbean and Central America.
Regis comes to Digicel with extensive experience as a senior telecoms executive. Having joined Millicom in 1998 as Commercial Manager in Bolivia, he then became COO in Paraguay and Co-Head of Africa before becoming Chief Officer of Africa in 2008 and subsequently COO Global Markets. Prior to joining Millicom, he worked as an investment consultant for the Inter-American Development Bank.
Regis holds a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from National University, USA, and a Master's degree in Business Management from EDAN in Asuncion. He has also completed the S.E.P at London Business School.
Regis is married with two children and is based in Kingston, Jamaica.
|John Mangos, Chief Executive Officer, Digicel Asia Pacific and Digicel Papua New Guinea
John has overall responsibility for Digicel’s Asia Pacific business with operations in six markets. As part of this role, John also retains his CEO responsibility for Papua New Guinea – a role he has been in since he joined the team in 2008. Under his leadership, Digicel PNG has become the number one telecommunications operator in the country.
John has been with Digicel since 2005, starting out as General Manager and then Chief Operating Officer for the Eastern Caribbean States (OECS) which comprises Digicel’s businesses in St. Lucia, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Grenada, the British Virgin Islands, Anguilla, St. Kitts and Nevis, Antigua and Barbuda, Barbados and Dominica.
Prior to joining Digicel, John held numerous senior roles with Eircom, the fixed line operator in Ireland and in a successful start-up wholesale and retail IP company in Australia.
John is based in Papua New Guinea with his wife and children.
